Warm, bright and super-sunny summer greetings to you all from your volunteer team at the eeai. Many thanks and a particular welcome to our new members who have completed their applications and are now listed on our practitioners page. It is wonderful to experience the energy of new life at eeai as we grow in strength together. A gentle reminder to those of you who have already expressed interest in joining – that we are ready and waiting to welcome you to eeai. We invite you to learn more about what it is we do and the benefits of becoming a professional member.
No individual thrives from working completely on their own. When it was realised by the ‘early adaptors’ to the world of ecotherapy and ecopsychology in Ireland that there were ‘others like us’, many voiced a desire to form a community or an association, particularly for peer support. The knowledge that we are ‘not alone’ in our work is reassuring and can help us to deliver more effective outcomes for both the clients that we serve and the world of nature that we love.
Our community continues to experience growth in eeai subscribers, demonstrating that more people are becoming aware of and supportive of our work. We have also noted an increase in students and post-graduates who are expressing interest in evidenced-based ecotherapy and ecopsychology which is inspiring many of them to further explore the modality/practice in their research, work and study.
It is imperative that practitioners who are eligible for professional eeai membership consider doing so. Members of the eeai benefit from the support gained by growing strong together, as well as the opportunity to share their unique and helpful insights with those who are either thinking about or just beginning to practice. Only together can we grow the recognition of ecotherapy and ecopsychology in Ireland as a respected and efficacious therapeutic approach.
We are also putting the call out for professional members to join us on our volunteer team – your wisdom is needed to further shape and drive our current progressive programme.
We look forward to your presence.
