20.04 Have your say Pt. 2

Dear members,

Following our recent circular regarding how to move forward in the EEAI we, the interim coordinators of EEAI, are suggesting the following process:

A series of three 3 hour virtual meetings held over the months of May, June and July to facilitate exploring creatively and listening
• to the places we inhabit and work in; May 17th, 7 – 10 pm
• to each other; June 17th, 7 – 10 pm and July 12th, 7 – 10 pm.

In August we hope to host a 2.5-day residential visioning and dreaming process from Friday evening 20th August to Sunday afternoon 22nd August, venue to be advised. Here we will draw together the threads of all we have learnt in the May to July sessions, gather together as a community in nature and decide as a community how we wish to go forward into 2022. We, the interim committee will then seek to draw up a structure which best meets that desired future. This process will be overseen and guided by Therese, Ruairi, Catherine and Matthew.

We are, however, inviting ALL members to be part of this process and to sign up to engaging with all the sessions. As this process requires commitment and consistency we are advising of the dates well in advance and asking members who wish to be part of this valuable process to sign up to all sessions. Once you do you will receive the Zoom links for the sessions and be able to join us for the residential weekend. Please note this is not a space to drop in and out of at one’s leisure but rather requires commitment to attend all or most of the sessions. This process will inform the future direction of EEAI and is very important as we seek to meet the challenges ahead for us all as practitioners living in a post pandemic world. Building sustainable communities has never been more urgent and we warmly welcome your wholehearted participation in these events. Please respond to this email and let us know if you will join us in a spirit of listening, dialogue and openness to our living world and to each over the upcoming summer months.
In addition we are inviting members who would like to assist us in facilitating these sessions to also come forward. Those with creative skills, those who enjoy facilitating small and large groups are more than welcome to be part of preparing this process and helping to carry it forward.

Please sign up for being a participant in this process before April 30th and if you wish to join our facilitation team please also let us know by then to this email governance@eeai.ie. We very much look forward to hearing from you and to being a part of this “listening survey” over the summer months.

Warm wishes as the days lengthen and the light grows stronger,
The Governance Group.
