14.04 Have your say Pt. 1

Dear EEAI Membership,

As you may be aware, our valued Chair, Rob Lewis, is stepping down for new adventures. We would like to acknowledge and thank him for all of his work, passion and improvements to the EEAI. In his absence there is a need for someone to continue the momentum he and the steering group have created. This is also an opportunity to look at the structure and aims of EEAI and to work together to shape an organisation that fits our desired purpose.

As such the members of the governance group have volunteered to undertake a caretaking role as acting co-ordinators until 31.12.21. Our role in the interim is to help keep EEAI running smoothly and progressing and to finalise the structure within which the EEAI wishes to keep working. To do this, we need to hear from you, the membership, regarding what you want the EEAI to grow to become.

We propose creating a listening process to help us shape our work broadly within the following template – a series of facilitated meetings of the membership between May and September with a view to forming a clear sense of purpose/vision and at the end of which there are answers to the following questions:

o   What are our desired outcomes as a group?

o   How will we achieve these?

o   Who will benefit from these outcomes?

o   Where will the benefits be felt?

o   What is success for us and how do we know we are heading in that direction?

We will be in touch soon to share with you how you can become involved in this valuable dreaming. Our meetings will adhere to COVID recommendations and may commence virtually, but we hope they can be in person towards the end of summer. In the meantime, have a think about how you might like to shape the EEAI and what you consider important to include in our goals and direction? Should you wish to be in touch please contact us at governance@eeai.ie . Thank you.
